A mother from Culver City visited us with her elementary school-aged daughter. The daughter had accidentally dropped her iPad at school, causing it to bend. After being told by the Apple Authorized Service Center that the device couldn’t be repaired, they came to our shop. They had checked several other repair shops, but most couldn’t offer same-day service or allow customers to watch the repair process. The iPad screen has separated from the body due to an impact on the corner. Fortunately, the screen isn’t cracked, but there may be issues with touch sensitivity or color display. To repair it, the screen must first be removed, as repairs cannot be performed with the screen attached. Sometimes, people try to bend it back by hand or press it down with a book, but this can cause further damage or other issues.

In such cases, the internal touch-related components may stretch, leading to touch malfunctions. Sometimes, after correction work, the bent screen needs to be pressed down, which can cause line display issues.
This is not the responsibility of the technician, and no compensation will be provided for these issues. Compensation is only provided for front screen glass breakage during the repair process. Additionally, in cases where the board is bent, as mentioned in this post, repair of the bend may cause issues such as the device not turning on. We explain this in advance and do not take responsibility for these issues.
